MILO VENTIMIGLIA

Obviously Earl is a success, you're making money, you've been nominated for a Golden Globe, you starred in one of the biggest, if not the biggest grossing films of 2007, why do I see you down at the Berrics killing it? Why are you an owner of a skateboard company?

I suppose "once a skateboarder, always a skateboarder." And I believe in Stereo and its capabilities and what it stands for, and I like being a part of pushing it and supporting it however and whenever I can. And The Berrics is a fun place to skate. I wish I could do some of the tricks I used to be able to do, but I still have a lot of fun with a kickflip here and there.

I got an email from you a few nights ago at nearly midnight. It was a thought about skateboarding. I think people would be surprised to know that you'd be up that late thinking about it. Does that happen often?

I think The Berrics and what you and Eric are doing with it inspired what I wrote you about. It's pushing community, your park, and anyone is welcome, and I think it's a great attitude to have. There's not a feeling of exclusivity at the park; there's a real sense of respect for skateboarding in general.

Why do you take photographs?

I like the feeling of capturing time on film. And the process of handling a camera, metering the light, playing with exposure, etc, is a really exciting and personal process. Photography has become incredibly important to me and has helped define another part of me.
